Summer Break is Here

How to engage in ministry as we shift gears into summer break!

Palmer SDA E-News

We are grateful to our dedicated staff at AGA for leading in an excellent school year. Wednesday, May 21, was the last day of school. Teachers are still busy getting through their end-of-year checklist. Look for a teacher at church and tell them how much you appreciate their ministry!

Free Course on Responding to Conflict Biblically

Our church benefited from two weekends of seminars on conflict resolution and church unity. One of our presenters generously shared a valuable resource to support our continued growth. Here are the instructions to access the free resource.

  1. Go to www.biblicalpeacemakers.org

  2. Scroll down to Responding to Conflict Biblically (click the “learn more” button that appears when you hover over it)

  3. Click on “purchase course”

  4. Enter code NRCBF (click the “apply” button to activate the code)

  5. 12 lesson course will be free.

We are partnering with the Cerritos Korean and Glendale Korean SDA Churches to host a fantastic VBS program from June 23-27, 9-11am. Contact Ashlee Starn at (907) 841-4857‬ to volunteer for this ministry.

Attention Youth!

Pastor Winslow, the Kovalenkos and speaker Armondo Miranda, NAD Associate Youth Director, hope to see you a day early!  Camp meeting starts July 25, but we want to add a day of youth programming. If 10 youth sign up and pay the $20 participation fee by June 21, youth programming will begin on Thursday July 24, at 7 pm. Friday will be the traditional Camp Tuk Excursion (the $20 non-refundable fee helps make the Tuk outing possible). Regardless of whether there is an early start Thursday, youth will meet Friday evening.  Registration opens June 1 at www.alaskaconference.org!

Lodging Need

Rose Marie is an Adventist from out of state who will be visiting family in Palmer, June 16-23. She is in need of a place to stay during her time. It doesn’t work to stay with her family and she lives on a low income, which makes hotel rates difficult. If you are interested in supporting Rose Marie with lodging, please contact Carol Baker.

Send a Postcard

We have a reunion weekend for the Palmer Church and AGA on September 12-14. Help us bring people together by sending an invitation postcard (available in chruch lobby).

Don’t Come to Church on Sabbath June 7!

We want you to come to church every Sabbath, but on June 7. The facilities will be shut down that day, no worship service, no Sabbath School, no fellowship meal and no driving into our parking lot. Sounds serious! We are having our parking lot resealed and it will not be ready to be driven on. There will be barricades set up to remind us. The Lord worked out the timing on this so well because we already scheduled to have our church campout at Camp Tukuskoya that weekend, and you are invited to worship out there.

This Sabbath

9:00 am- Lovewell Connect Group

9:30 am- Sabbath School

10:45 am- Worship Service

12:30 pm- Fellowship Meal

15:05 pm- Sunset
