Palmer SDA E-News
Hey Friends,
Even if you can't go on our next mission trip, but live locally, here's how you can easily help!
And just so everyone is in the loop, regardless of where you live -- we are inviting our church and school families, as well as members of the community, to join us in our next fundraising effort that my wife likes to call, "Declutter the House for AGA Mission Trip."
Essentially we are collecting donations of clothing and small household items that can be sold at Value Village Thrift Shop in Wasilla. I will be collecting all donations and storing them at our shop through December 3. Then on a single day we will rent a U-Haul and deliver everything at once to Value Village. They will pay Amazing Grace Academy for donations as part of their Community FUNDrive program. Our goal is to raise $3000 for the mission trip through this venture. It's gonna take a lot of help, but it is doable!
See the brochure below for details, but essentially everything must be in saleable condition. Clothes and fabric items should be placed in plastic trash bags. Books (no textbooks or encyclopedias) and other small household items should be placed in boxes. If it won't fit in a medium-ish box that you can easily carry, then it's probably too big for this fundraiser.
Dropoff can be done at Amazing Grace Academy during school hours -- or make arrangements with me! 907-441-4963.
It's going to be fun. Laura has already cleaned several rooms, and my side of the closet has been glaring at me for a few days. It feels good to get rid of some clutter for a good cause!
Join us!

Testimony Sabbath
November 29 is Testimony Sabbath. We welcome people to pre-arrange to share personal testimonies of God’s goodness. Is there some way God has been faithful in your life this year? Is there some step of spiritual growth you have experienced? The stories of how God has blessed you can be a blessing to others. We are looking to fill 2-5 minute sharing slots. If interested in sharing, contact Pastor Ryan.
Fellowship Meal
Our fellowship meal this Sabbath is hosted by Carol Koliadko and Kayla Geisinger. The theme is Pasta and Rice Dishes.
We have great meals planned several weeks in advance! Here’s what is coming for fellowship meal!

New Local Radio Station
The Wasilla SDA Church is broadcasting a radio station. Tune in to 97.7 to hear music and messages from the church. We are also looking for local content to share our faith with the community. If you are interested in supporting this ministry contact Aaron Woehler at (907) 346-2014.
Devotional Books for AGA
As we finished our fall week of worship last month, we had 58 students make a decision to follow Jesus and 17 desired to study for baptism. As we continue to support and encourage the spiritual growth in our students, we will be giving a devotional book to each student in December.
If you have a gently used favorite devotional book for kids, moms or families that you've finished and would like to share with another student or family, please bring your gently used devotional books to the school.
If you'd like to help us purchase new books, please make your donation to AGA devotional books.
Thank you for your continued prayers for the ministry that happens at AGA every day!
Music Sabbath
This Sabbath, November 22, you are invited to a musical jam session for the Palmer and Wasilla churches. This one will be hosted at the Wasilla Church at 2pm.
