Life Groups

We are seeing momentum in our life groups. Life Groups are weekly connections to share food, prayer, scripture, and fellowship with spiritually uplifting friends. If that sounds like something you need in your life, contact pastor Ryan, 907-795-7158. We are looking for people who want to host a group in their home, others who want to lead in group discussions, and others who want to participate in a group without hosting.

Invitations to continuing Life Groups…

The Chosen Life Group is meeting on Fridays at 6:15 PM for supper and visiting, followed by an episode of The Chosen and a group discussion. Contact Stacy and Laura Peterson for more information (907–441–4963).

Men’s group meets on Wednesdays at the church at 8pm. Their current study is the Parables of Jesus: 38 unique parables as presented in the gospels.

Butte Life Group is continuing to meet on Friday evenings. Contact Connie Smith for more information (907-232-4353‬).

Introducing a NEW Life Group…

Starting November 11, there will be a life group for youth who wish to prepare for baptism. It will be hosted at the home of Torre and Promise Vickers, midway between Palmer and Wasilla, on Tuesdays at 6pm. Call Torre Vickers for more information (912-674-3463‬).

Anticipating future Life Groups…

There is interest in Life Groups starting up in the following areas. If you are interested in being a part of them, contact Pastor Ryan.

Fellowship Meal

Our fellowship meal this Sabbath is hosted by Brad and Lisa Pooler and Allison Winslow. Our theme is haystacks!

The Grateful Pie Giveaway

Purpose: Provide a pie to a neighbor or friend who needs a little extra love this Thanksgiving.

What is needed?

1. Bakers to join the baking party on November 23

2. Donations of homemade pie (or pies)

3. Funds for pie-making ingredients (Mark tithe envelope with “Grateful Pies”)

4. List of how many pies are needed

(Determined by # of pies people “order” to share. Pick up ordered pies on Monday, November 24.)

Week of Service

AGA students collected gifts each day this week to donate to Beacon Hill to be given to foster children in need. Our youth are being shaped by their participation in these local service projects.

Our church and school are hosting our 2nd Grace Race. It is a fun opportunity to get some exercise and invite a friend.

• November 16, (Sunday) 1-3pm.

• All ages. Free event.

• Starts and ends at the church.

• Contribute to the potluck meal afterward.

Moon Walk

On Wednesday, a group of 8 gathered at the Butte at 5am to hike by moonlight. Of the three supermoons in 2025, this one was the closest to Earth. Young Adult Winter Weekend

Join us for the Young Adult Winter Weekend, January 9–10, 2026, at the Alaska Conference Office! Led by young adults, this event offers Christ-centered messages, engaging discussions, great food, fun activities, and meaningful connections. Lodging is available for out-of-area guests.

Pathfinder Winter Fair 

January 30–31, 2026, at the Pioneer Camp Meeting Grounds! Enjoy stories from a former mission pilot, fun honors, great food, and a model and paper airplane derby. Don’t miss this action-packed weekend!
