Memories and Praises

God's blessings through change

Our prayers and support go out to the Neuman family following the passing of Leonard Neuman on Monday, March 23, 2026.  He lived a long and productive life in Jesus as a loving husband, devoted father and hopeful grandfather.  He took care of countless patients with such kindness, was a lover of good music and the outdoors, enjoyed walks and his dog.  He was also a favorite for his notable hugs.  He will be forever loved and missed by the Palmer church family.

Ministry Team Meetings

Our next set of ministry team meetings is scheduled for Sunday, April 12. All are invited to attend to learn more about what is happening in our various ministries and to get involved.

  • Home Team 2-3:30pm

Teacher Hire Update

We have been in prayer about the need to fill the teaching positions at AGA for the next school year. We may have been alarmed by the need, but now we should be amazed at how God has blessed. We have confirmed teachers in every role, with the exception of one more high school teacher, whom we are still praying for. Praise God for the strong and early hires.

2026-27 Teachers

Mrs. Bailey will continue teaching Pre-K/K next year.

Rachel Carle will be our 1st and 2nd grade teacher. She will be moving here from our sister school in Sitka.

Ferne Downs will be our 3rd and 4th grade teacher. She taught at AGA several years ago and is now coming back!

Eliana Oberlander has just accepted our 5th and 6th grade teacher position for next year. She will be graduating in a few short weeks with her elementary education degree and is very excited to start her new career here in Alaska.

Mrs. Dodge and Mr. Peterson will continue in jr. high and high school.

Youth Vespers

Make sure the Saturday night youth vespers are on your calendar. These are designed for Junior & Teen youth to connect socially and grow spiritually. The next two are taking place at 5pm on April 4 and April 18.

Passover Meal

We will celebrate Passover on Friday April 3, 2026, at 5:00 P.M at the church. We will have a Communion Service with a meal at the Fellowship Hall. We are planning to have soup and salads. The Passover meal is celebrated without leaven. This would mean no yeast, baking soda or baking powder. We should also avoid foods that require yeast to be made such as vinegar. When you arrive you can go the designated rooms for the footwashing and then on to the Fellowship Hall. All are invited and children are welcome.
