Palmer SDA E-News

Our church is committed to being a place of safety, grace, and accountability for all who gather here. As part of that commitment, we have a policy that allows registered sex offenders to attend under strict boundaries designed to protect both our children and the individuals involved.
This policy has received increased attention recently, and we recognize the concerns that have been expressed. Please know that we take these concerns seriously. The elders met this week to prayerfully consider the feedback we have received. As a result, they identified key areas where our policy could be clarified or improved and have forwarded these considerations to a committee already engaged in reviewing the policy. This committee will present recommended updates to the Church Board on April 8.
We deeply value the voices of our congregation and believe that listening to one another strengthens our church. As we continue to prioritize the safety of our children, we invite all who would like to be more informed about and engaged with our child protection efforts to attend our Annual Abuse Prevention Training on Tuesday, April 15, at 6:00 PM.
Thank you for your prayers, patience, and dedication to making our church a place where all can experience God’s love in a safe and nurturing environment.

Here’s the plan!
5:30pm Show up! Park in the front parking lot. Walk around to the playground area. Pick up a bib number at the bib table.
6:00pm Race starts! It will be timed from start signal to finish line (not with a fancy chip timer). Race path will be marked and a map will be posted at the starting line.
6:45pm Potluck meal! Run fast, or we will start without you!
7:15pm Finisher awards! No prizes, but we will celebrate you with a bunch of hype.
7:30pm Worship!
Come ready to run or walk. If you don't want to run, volunteer. We need those too! Contribute to the potluck meal by bringing soup, bread, salad, or desserts.
