God Seeker? 

Are you a God Seeker? 

I am not referring to what some call a life and practice of ‘spiritual formation’.

I am not referring to the study and practice of ‘mental and mind healing powers’.

Rather, I simply mean in very simple terms – Do you seek God to give meaning, to enrich, to strengthen you in your life’s journey?

I suppose I became a seeker from at a time of my first remembrances as a pre-schooler in Tiny Tot Sabbath School.  I remember rushing to the felt board to place my white cutout felt angel on the large blue felt board.  Even then I had a simple child’s understanding that there is a love that means to protect me.  I suppose through each developmental stage of life I continued to be inawe of a God that is love – even when some of those stages might have been ruff and rocky.

Even today as an older adult I still am in awe of the meaning behind my felt angel.

I truly believe that there is a thirst in every person to seek meaning, comfort and love.

Searching for the water - the Water of Life;   John 4:1-42

Eagerly searching;   Psalm 119:10, Philippians 4:8, Deuteronomy 4:29, Matthew 6:33

Engage in worship with others and have personal time of study, reading, prayer and meditation;

   Psalm 95:6, Psalm 132:7, Matthew 6:6

Keep searching;   Psalm 32:8, Psalm 14:2, Hebrews 11:6, Proverbs 8:17

Each day reflect on a promise of God:    Isaiah 26:3, John 14:27, Psalm 32:8

Reaching out to God-He will take your hand;   Psalm 27:1, 1Chronicles 16:11-22, Psalm 78:7
